About us
Over the past few years I have helped many students prepare for the Alberta General Insurance Level I Certification Exam. I was a Facilitator for one of the largest Personal & Casualty Insurance Brokerage in Canada at our Professional Development Centre located in Edmonton, Alberta. Among other courses, I taught a Five Day Level One Course with the material that I developed on my own time and will use on this site.
In my classroom, I have met student of varied educational and career background. Some were in their 3rd or 4th careers, some just out of high school; there were males, females, single parents, divorced, widowed; some where English was their first language others that struggled a bit with the language; some had not been in school or open a book to study for decades, and others did not do well at school and were full of bad memories about taking an exam.
Many were fearful and had little confidence... However they all had one thing in common, they were hired on the condition that they pass the test.
There was a lot a pressure for them to pass the test, yet prior to introducing the material in this course many failed the test the first try.
This was really frustrating for me as a trainer, so I decided to review the material I used and add to it. It worked! The passing rate on the first try went up, and even higher (90%) by the second try.
So, wherever you are in life or on your path to this Level I exam, the methods, materials and tips on this site will help you.
